Our Master Piano Technician is Douglas Ray Neal. Doug Neal has over 30 years of experience as a concert piano technician, as a teacher of piano technicians, and as a piano technician providing in-home piano service, privately and for piano dealers.
Doug Neal has tuned for concerts featuring; Frank Sinatra, Judy Collins, Aerosmith, Jefferson Starship, Roy Clark, John Denver, Jorge Bolet, Misha Dichter, and many others. Doug traveled as Misha Dichter's personal piano technician on four, week long concert tours.
Doug Neal has taught seminar classes at local, regional, and national assemblies of the Piano Technicians Guild. Doug has also presented technicial seminars for piano dealers in Hawaii and Florida. During his 15-year tenure at Western Iowa Tech Community College, Doug wrote and presented the two-year Associate Degree curriculum in Piano Technology.
Working privately and for piano dealers, Doug Neal has provided in-home piano service in the states of Maine, Florida, and Iowa. Doug specializes in piano tuning, action regulation, and voicing.
