Studio Coordinator

Reports to…

General Manager

Overall Responsibility

Coordinate the day-to-day activity of the entire Ray’s Mid-Bell Music Learning Center, and collaborate with management for future growth (more students).

Key areas of responsibility

  • Manage and maintain the entire lesson schedule and billing for 200+ students.
  • Match new students to the proper teacher to help each student reach their individual musical goals.
  • Be the go-to person for all Learning Center activity.
  • Promote and coordinate all recitals and performances which take place in our on-site recital room (i.e. chairs, sound system, times, etc.)
  • Process lesson auto-payments each month.
  • Process teacher payments each month.
  • Recruit and sign-up new students.
  • Recruit and “hire” new teachers.
  • Help with retail activity during peak seasons (phone, sales/rentals, check-out).
  • Work closely with General Manager on various Learning Center marketing projects.
  • Creatively market the Learning Center for new students.
  • Work toward student sign-up goals measured by the total lesson enrollment.

Qualifications

  • Strong sense of customer service.
  • A friendly demeanor.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • The ability to communicate procedures with co-workers and teachers.
  • Very comfortable with intermediate to advanced Windows navigation, Excel, and Word as well as good typing skills.
  • Ability to confront other adults if they aren’t meeting expectations (i.e. in the instance that a teacher shows up late for lessons.)
  • A strong sense of team work and the importance of harmony between departments.
  • Ability to work some evenings and weekends (especially during back-to-school season or during weekend recitals).
  • A musical background is necessary in order to clearly communicate with teachers, students, and co-workers.
  • A sales background is helpful.
